20代インフルエンサー様からのご依頼｜移住先での想いを込めたオーダーメイド絵画
こんにちは、らっそくやのicoです。
今回は、オーダーメイドで制作させていただいた一点ものの絵画作品をご紹介します。
ご依頼くださったのは、絵を購入されるのは初めてという20代の女性インフルエンサーの方。
昨年、都市部から自然豊かな土地へと移住され、「新しい環境で感じたことを、自分だけの絵にしてほしい」とご相談くださいました。
◆「こういう絵を描きたい」——でも、諦めかけていた頃に届いた言葉
私は和ろうそくへの絵付けと並行して、以前からこうした抽象的な絵も描いていました。
けれど、「誰かに届くのだろうか」「この表現を求めてくれる人はいるのかな」と思うこともあり、しばらく筆が止まっていた時期もあります。
そんなときにいただいたのが、
「icoさんの絵がほしいです」
という一言でした。
その言葉が、どれだけ私の心を動かし、描く意欲を取り戻させてくれたかは、言葉では言い尽くせません。
◆色と形だけで、その人を描くということ
ヒアリングを重ねるなかで、彼女から感じた印象やキーワードを少し挙げてみます。
- 海のように広がる心
- 空のような透明感
- 夜のような静けさ
- 星のような輝き
- 猫のように自由で、人間らしさもある
- 蝶にも見え、人魚にも見えるような神秘性
- 柔らかな雰囲気の中に宿る、凛とした強さ
保護猫ちゃんへの深い愛情も印象的で、
華やかな世界にいらっしゃる一方で、内に秘めた優しさや落ち着き、そして芯のある強さを感じました。
この絵には、「見る人によってさまざまに見える」曖昧さを、あえて残しています。
その曖昧さこそが、感情のゆらぎや人間らしさだと思うからです。
絵を見るたびに、少しずつ違って見える——そんな余白を楽しんでもらえたら嬉しいです。

【Commissioned Artwork】A Custom Painting Inspired by Life After Relocating – For a 20-Something Influencer
Hello, I’m rassokuya,ico.
Today, I’d love to share the story behind a one-of-a-kind custom artwork I recently created.
The piece was commissioned by a woman in her twenties — a social media influencer — who had never purchased original artwork before.
She recently moved from an urban area to a place surrounded by nature. With that change came new emotions, and she reached out to me, saying:
“I want a painting that reflects how I feel in this new chapter of my life.”
◆ “I want to paint like this” — A Thought I Nearly Gave Up On
Alongside my work painting on traditional Japanese candles, I also create abstract works like this one.
But for a while, I held myself back, wondering:
- Will this kind of art really resonate with anyone?
- Is there someone out there who truly wants this expression?
Then came her message:
“I want a painting by you, ico.”
That simple sentence lit something within me.
It gave me the push I didn’t know I needed.
◆ Expressing a Person Through Color and Form
As we talked and I got to know her more, I started collecting images and feelings that reflected her presence. Here are a few of the key impressions that shaped the painting:
- A heart as vast as the sea
- A sense of transparency, like the open sky
- A quiet stillness, like nighttime
- A subtle glow, like stars
- A free spirit, cat-like yet deeply human
- A mystical presence — butterfly or mermaid, depending on how you see it
- Softness on the surface, strength at the core
She also expressed a deep love for her rescued cat, which added another layer of warmth and care to the piece.
Though she works in a very public and glamorous space, I wanted to portray the calm, gentle, and quietly powerful side of her personality.
I intentionally left the painting open to interpretation — a little ambiguous.
Because sometimes, what makes a piece deeply human is the space it leaves for emotion and imagination.
