どんな風に注文したらいいのかわからない。今までの注文は、どんなものがあったの？と聞かれることが多いので、少しずつご紹介していこうと思います。

 

「春が来るたびに、庭の梅を見上げていた祖父母のために」

 

そんな言葉から始まったご注文でした。ご依頼主のご祖父母様は、春先になると庭の梅の花を楽しみにされていたそうです。

厳しい寒さが残るなか、真っ先に咲く梅の花は、

ご祖父母様にとって「希望」や「けじめ」を感じさせる特別な存在だったのだと。今はもうその花を一緒に見ることはできなくなったけれど、

命日には、その梅の花を描いたろうそくを灯したい──そんなあたたかいお気持ちを受け取って、アイボリーのキャンドルに紅梅を満開に咲かせるように描かせていただきました。ろうそくの炎が揺れるたびに、春風に揺れる枝のように感じられたら…

そんな思いを込めて、筆をとりました。大切な人の記憶とともに灯る絵ろうそく。

またひとつ、心に残るご注文でした。

 

“For my grandparents who loved the plum blossoms that bloomed with grace even in the cold” – A custom-painted candle order

I’m often asked things like:

“How do I place an order?” or “What kind of custom candles have people ordered before?”

So I’d like to start sharing some of those stories, little by little.

“For my grandparents, who looked up at the plum blossoms in the garden every spring.”

That was how one request began.

The customer told me that their grandparents used to look forward to the blooming of the plum tree in their garden each spring.

Even while winter’s chill still lingered, the plum blossoms—always the first to bloom—were a symbol of hope and renewal for them.

Though they can no longer admire the blossoms together,

the customer wanted to light a candle adorned with plum blossoms on their grandparents’ memorial day—

a quiet way to remember and honor them.

I painted vibrant plum blossoms in full bloom onto an ivory candle,

hoping that as the flame flickers,

it might feel like branches swaying gently in the spring breeze.

With that image in my heart, I picked up my brush.

Each hand-painted candle holds a memory,

a gentle flame lit for someone dearly loved.

This was yet another heartfelt order that left a lasting impression on me.
